However, WorldStage check revealed that under the regulations of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX Rulebook) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Nigeria insiders (such as Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities, like the Head of Treasury) are required to notify the Company Secretary in writing of any transaction conducted on their own account on the day the transaction occurs or within two (2) business days under company-specific securities trading policies.
The listed company is generally required to notify the Exchange/market within 48 hours (or two business days) of receiving or executing the transaction disclosure.
For the actual trades that took place on May 4, 2026, the regulatory rules required disclosure to the NGX shortly after the trade occurred (May 2026).
Announcing these transactions four months later on September 8, 2026, represents a significant reporting delay beyond the standard two-day window unless an explicit filing extension or regulatory dispensation was applied.
