The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos State Chapter, in collaboration with Addefort Nigeria, has announced the 13th edition of the Lagos Public Relations Stakeholders’ Conference (LaPRSC), scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
The conference will bring together distinguished leaders and professionals from the public and private sectors, academia, media, and development community to deliberate on the role of communication, leadership, and innovation in driving sustainable transformation in Nigeria.
Among the eminent speakers and stakeholders expected at the event are Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State; Dr. Ike Neliaku, fnipr, President and Chairman of Council, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations; Engr. Leye Kupoluyi, President/Chairman of Council, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI); Otega Ogra, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Digital and New Media and President, Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN); and Segun Ajayi-Kadir, mni, Director-General, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria.

With the theme, “Communication, Leadership and Innovation for Sustainable Community Transformation in Nigeria,” the conference is expected to attract communication professionals, policymakers, government officials, corporate leaders, media executives, academics, development partners, civil society organisations, youth leaders, and other stakeholders from across the country.
Over the past 13 years, the Lagos Public Relations Stakeholders’ Conference, popularly known as the “Annual August Gathering of Public Relations Solution Providers,” has established itself as one of Nigeria’s foremost platforms for dialogue on governance, leadership, strategic communication, and national development.
A major highlight of this year’s conference will be the launch of the Leadership Dialogue Series, a new annual initiative aimed at fostering high-level conversations on leadership, governance, innovation, and strategic communication.
Speaking on the significance of the conference, the Chairman of NIPR Lagos State Chapter, Dr. Samuel Ayetutu, noted that the event comes at a critical juncture in Nigeria’s development journey.

Also speaking, the Lead Consultant at Addefort Nigeria and Conference Convener, Olabamiji Adeleye, said the conference is designed to generate practical recommendations that can contribute meaningfully to national development.

The conference will focus on critical issues including leadership and strategic communication, digital transformation in public relations, youth leadership, media leadership and storytelling, nation branding, responsible journalism, and strategies for combating misinformation.
As is customary, the proceedings will culminate in a communiqué containing key recommendations from the conference. The communiqué will subsequently be presented to the Federal Government and other relevant stakeholders for consideration and possible implementation.
