WorldStage– International Energy Insurance (IEI) Plc has officially submitted its earnings forecast for the fourth quarter of 2026 to the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), projecting a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₦854.40 million.
In a official communication dated September 8, 2026, jointly signed by Chief Financial Officer Uyi Osagie and Managing Director/CEO Bashir Binji, the insurer outlined its financial expectations for the final quarter of the year.
Financial Highlights
Gross Premium Written: Projected at ₦3.50 billion.
Insurance Revenue: Expected to reach ₦2.98 billion.
Operating Profit: Estimated at ₦743.75 million.
Interest & Similar Income: Forecasted at ₦3.04 billion.
Profit Before Tax (PBT): Projected at ₦1.01 billion.
Forecast Taxation: Estimated tax obligation of ₦150.78 million.
Profit After Tax (PAT): Net profit expected at ₦854.40 million.
Growth Drivers and Industry Outlook Management noted that the optimistic forecast relies on stable government policies affecting the insurance sector, sustained executive leadership quality, and uninterrupted public confidence throughout 2026.
Additionally, the company expects regulatory tailwinds to boost revenue. Revenue growth will be supported by the mandatory enforcement of policies such as “Building under Construction” and “Public Building” insurance coverages, alongside strict compliance with the National Insurance Commission’s (NAICOM) “No Premium, No Cover” policy.
