WorldStage– Beverage manufacturer Champion Breweries Plc has officially announced that Mr. Malolan Sampath has formally assumed office as the company’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2026.
The executive assumption follows an earlier appointment announcement by the Board of Directors as part of the brewer’s planned leadership transition strategy.

Extensive Industry Experience: Mr. Sampath brings over 26 years of international leadership experience spanning the FMCG, beverage, manufacturing, and agro-industrial sectors across several African markets.
Track Record in Beverages: His previous roles in the beverage industry include serving as Managing Director of Unique Beverages in Angola and Sales & Marketing Director for a PepsiCo bottling franchise.
Prior Executive Leadership: Before joining Champion Breweries, he served in dual capacity as Managing Director of the NPK Joint Venture and Chief Marketing Officer at Indorama Eleme Fertilizers in Nigeria. He also previously headed Global Industries Limited, a Wilmar International joint venture in Zambia.
Academic Credentials: He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management (MBA) from the Symbiosis Centre for Management & HRD, Pune, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Chennai.
