WorldStage– The Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has met with the wife of Qatar’s monarch, Sheika Moza Bint Nasser Al-Missned, to seek collaboration on tackling the challenge of Almajiri and out-of-school children in Nigeria.
Disclosing the meeting on her X (formerly Twitter) handle, the First Lady stated with excitement: “Today, I met with Her Highness Sheika Moza Bint Nasser Al-Missned, Founder of the Qatar Foundation, to seek collaboration on tackling the challenge of Almajiri and out-of-school children in Nigeria.
“With over 15 million children currently out of school, we are introducing a transformative model that integrates both Islamic and formal education, providing safe learning spaces, mosques, vocational training, and boarding facilities.
“Her Highness assured me of the Foundation’s support and partnership with our Ministry of Education to train teachers and caregivers for this initiative.
“Earlier, I visited the Qatar Foundation headquarters and was pleased to learn that Nigeria already has 41 alumni from the Muhammad Khalifa University.
“Together, we are building a future where every Nigerian child has access to quality education.”
