WorldStage– Unitrust Insurance Company Limited said it has attained ISO/IEC 27001:2022 for Information Security Management Systems and ISO 22301:2019 for Business Continuity Management Systems in April
The certifications, issued by MSECB, confirm Unitrust Insurance’s management systems meet global best practices information assets security and seamless operations of IT infrastructure, cloud data centres, disaster recovery systems, and business processes.
The ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification came first in February 2024 before its current renewal while the ISO 22301:2019 certification came last month.
The second certification ensures the insurer can anticipate, respond to, and recover from disruptions while maintaining critical business functions within its business operations.
“These certifications are a testament to our unwavering commitment to protecting our customers’ data, strengthening operational resilience, and delivering reliable insurance services even in the face of disruptions,” Adedayo A. Arowojolu, managing director, said recently.
The insurer joined other companies in Nigeria complying with internationally recognized frameworks for information security and business continuity.
