*Appoints Ijeoma Emezie-Ezigbo as Deputy Managing Director
WorldStage– VFD Group Plc has officially announced the commencement of a closed trading period in respect of its Third Quarter (Q3) Unaudited Financial Statements and Accounts for the period ended September 30, 2026.
In a corporate disclosure dated October 2, 2026, and signed by the Company Secretary, Gbeminiyi Shoda, the company confirmed that the restriction is in line with Rule 17.18(a) of the Closed Period Rules contained in the Rulebook of The Exchange, 2015 (Issuers’ Rules, as amended).
Under the closure terms, all insiders, consultants of VFD Group Plc, and their connected persons are strictly prohibited from directly or indirectly dealing in the company’s securities.
The trading block will remain in effect until 24 hours after the Q3 2026 financial statements are publicly released via the Issuers’ Portal of Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).
The company stated that all relevant insiders and closely connected individuals have been appropriately informed of the directive to ensure full compliance with capital market regulations.
Appoints Ijeoma Emezie-Ezigbo
Menawhile, VFD Group Plc has officially announced the appointment of Mrs. Ijeoma Emezie-Ezigbo as its new Deputy Managing Director (Executive Director), effective October 5, 2026.
The decision was communicated to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the investing public in a notice signed by Company Secretary Gbeminiyi Shoda on October 2, 2026. The appointment remains subject to the necessary approvals from shareholders at a General Meeting as well as relevant regulatory authorities.
Mrs. Emezie-Ezigbo joins the executive leadership of VFD Group with more than two decades of experience across corporate finance, transaction advisory, mergers and acquisitions, business valuation, and strategic financial management in Nigeria, Canada, and the broader African market. Most recently, she served as Partner and Head of Transaction Services for West Africa at KPMG Nigeria. Her career history also features key corporate and financial advisory roles at Stanbic IBTC Group, IBM Canada, and Canadian Tire Corporation.
She holds a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Nigeria, a Master of Finance degree from Cass Business School, London, and is an alumna of the Advanced Management Programme at Lagos Business School. Professionally, she is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), an Associate Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA UK), a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA Ontario), and a Certified Valuation Analyst (NACVA).
In its statement, the Board expressed strong confidence in Mrs. Emezie-Ezigbo’s qualifications, leadership, and integrity, emphasizing that her background will significantly bolster the company’s governance framework, strategic oversight, and long-term value creation goals.
