*Approves virtual 32nd AGM
WorldStage– Regency Alliance Insurance Plc has announced plans to appoint a new Company Secretary following directives from Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) to unbundle the role from executive management.
The decision was reached during the company’s Board of Directors meeting held on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
According to board resolutions released by the insurer, the office of the Company Secretary will be officially separated from that of the Executive Director (Corporate Services).
To fill the upcoming vacancy, the board has authorized management to recruit either a qualified individual or a corporate entity.
Shortlisted candidates and corporate organizations will undergo interviews by management, which will subsequently present its recommendations to the Chairman.
In addition to the governance restructuring, the board approved plans for the company’s upcoming 32nd Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The AGM will be conducted virtually on a date to be formally announced following final board approval.
Management has been mandated to take all necessary measures to ensure the smooth execution of the virtual meeting.
