WorldStage– Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to operational excellence and a strategic road map designed to cement its position as a leading ground handler.
The company in a statement signed by its Head of Corporate Communications, Mrs Vanessa Uansohia, on Wednesday in Lagos said it plans to diversify into new business lines across the aviation value chain.
The statement said the “4Ps” would serve as the framework for its 2026 operations.
It listed the 4Ps as people-focusing on building a highly skilled, safety-driven workforce; process-standardising and enforcing rigorous operating procedures.
It also identified performance-leveraging data-driven analytics to boost revenue and platform-developing, an integrated digital system, to connect equipment and data.
The company said that 2025 was characterised by massive fleet expansion and international recognition.
The statement added that the company’s executive management would focus on sustainability, digital innovation, and business diversification.
It said the company’s move towards green aviation would continue and the phased replacement of aging Ground Support Equipment, with eco-friendly alternatives.
On future plans, the statement said the company would expand its cargo offerings, and training school upgrade to align with global best practices.
The statement noted that SAHCO successfully renewed the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations certifications.
The company also confirmed that its Regulated Agent certification remained valid until 2027, while its Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria and Quality Management System certifications were renewed in 2025.
The statement highlighted some of its milestones in 2025, which included; British Airways honouring SAHCOs Abuja station with a Bronze Award and its Lagos station with a Gold Award for punctuality and safety across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific regions.
Other milestones were the FAAN Safety Excellence Award; Aviation Service Provider of the Year (Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology) and GSE Certification of Recognition from IATA.
On fleets and partnerships, SACHO said it significantly bolstered its portfolio in 2025, onboarding new international and regional domestic carriers.
The airlines included Ethiopian Airlines, Air Tanzania, and Air Algérie and Air Peace, ValueJet and United Nigeria Airlines
