WorldStage– Premier Paints Plc has announced significant changes to its Board of Directors following the retirement of three board members and the subsequent appointment of four new directors, including a new Board Chairman.
The changes took effect on August 31, 2026, subject to shareholder ratification at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting.
In a corporate disclosure signed by Company Secretary Alozie Nwokoro and released to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), the company confirmed the retirement of Directors Mr. Adedoyin Adeyinka, Dr. M.K.O. Balogun, and Mr. Ajayi Oluyemi.
New Leadership Appointments
To steer the company’s strategic direction, the board approved the following leadership appointments:
Mr. Emeka Ene – Board Chairman: Mr. Ene is the CEO of Oida Group (comprising Oida Energy Limited, Xenergi Limited, Xenoil, and Enugu Industrial Park Free Zone). He is a former Chairman of the E&P Committee of the International Gas Union (2022–2025), a past board member of the World Free Zones Organization, and former Chairman of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN).

Mr. Adebowale Fagbemi – Non-Executive Director: Possessing 28 years of experience in the oil and gas sector across formation evaluation, reservoir monitoring, and project management, Mr. Fagbemi holds an MBA from Henley Business School. He previously served as Chairman of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Nigeria Council.
Dr. John Erinne – Non-Executive Director: A COREN-registered Chemical Engineer with over 30 years of standing, Dr. Erinne holds a Ph.D. from Loughborough University of Technology, UK. He is a Fellow of both the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers and the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
Mrs. Doseke Akporiaye – Non-Executive Director: Bringing over 20 years of international leadership across renewable energy, infrastructure, and technology, Mrs. Akporiaye holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE), USA.
The company expressed appreciation to its outgoing directors while welcoming the incoming board members to drive sustainable growth and governance standards.
