WorldStage Newsonline– The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) C-130 Hercules Aircraft on Sunday airlifted the Dapchi girls back to Maiduguri from where they would be transported to Dapchi under armed air escort to reunite with their families.
A total of 104 of the 110 abducted students of the Government Girls Secondary Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi, were released by Boko-Haram insurgents on March 21.
According to a statement, the return of the girls to their community took place after President Muhammadu Buhari and other top Government officials had received them at the Government House in Abuja on 23 March 2018.

All the girls, including a boy and three teachers from the girls’ school boarded the aircraft.
After their release by the Boko Haram Terrorists on Wednesday, 21 March 2018, personnel of the Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE as well as other officers of the Theatre Command received the girls at the NAF Base Maiduguri.
ARRIVAL IN MAIDUGURI
Meanwhile, the Dapchi schoolgirls arrived Maiduguri at about 10.00 a.m. at the 105 Nigeria Air Force Composite Command, Maiduguri.
The girls, accompanied by top government officials and representatives of the parents had left Maiduguri in convey of buses to Damaturu, where they were expected to be formally handed over to their families.
