The Organizers of the $1.5 Trillion Plus GDP Nigerian Blue Economy Conference – Opportunity for Nigeria’s Prosperity are pleased to announce that the landmark event has been rescheduled to 12–14 May, 2026 at the Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
This adjustment was necessitated by the need to ensure full participation and adequate representation of crucial stakeholders, thereby maintaining the integrity of the conference and its outcomes.
The rescheduled program will feature keynote addresses from two of Nigeria’s foremost leaders:
– Mr. Wale Edun, Honourable Minister for Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, delivering the Opening Keynote Address on 12 May, 2026: “The $1.5 Trillion Plus GDP Opportunity: Nigeria’s Coastal Advantage.”
– Right Honourable Tajudeen Abbas, Speaker of the House of Representatives, delivering his Keynote Address on 14 May, 2026: “Legislating the Blue Economy: Building the Legal Architecture for Prosperity.”
The conference will convene stakeholders from government, industry, academia, and civil society to chart a sustainable and inclusive roadmap for Nigeria’s Blue Economy. It will feature keynote speeches, expert panels, exhibitions, and strategic breakout sessions designed to foster actionable outcomes.
Any outstanding Registration formalities and nominee submissions are to be finalized within the new window, now through 17 April, 2026.
