WorldStage– The Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) says President Bola Tinubu has implemented viable economic programmes during his administration’s three years in office.
The Chairman, Mr Chiedu Ebie, said this in a statement by Mrs Seledi Thompson-Wakama, the Director, Corporate Affairs.
According to the statement, Ebie spoke when members of the board visited Tinubu at his private residence in Lagos recently.
The chairman reiterated the commission’s commitment to accelerating project delivery across the Niger Delta region.
The Managing Director, Dr Samuel Ogbuku, said that Tinubu had demonstrated visionary leadership, commitment to national development, and support to the Niger Delta region.
Ogbuku said that the visit provided the board an opportunity to brief the president on the commission’s activities, interventions and achievements.
He stated that the commission remained commitment to realising the objects of the Renewed Hope Agenda by promoting inclusive growth and sustainable development.
The managing director further said that measures were being taken to complete ongoing NDDC projects across the region.
“The NDDC is commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing livelihoods and driving sustainable transformation in the region.
“The board will continue to support policies and initiatives aimed at promoting prosperity and improved living standards in the Niger Delta region,” he said.
