Lagos, Nigeria – International Breweries Plc, a major Nigerian brewer and subsidiary of the AB InBev group, has released its unaudited condensed financial statements for the three and six months ended 30 June 2026 with a profit after tax of ₦18.70 billion in Q2, up 57% from ₦11.91 billion .
Key Performance Highlights of the unaudited condensed financial statements certified and approved on 24 July 2026 by Managing Director Mr. Nicholas Kade and Finance Director Ms. Chinyere Ezeugwu for Second Quarter showed revenue: ₦163.36 billion (down slightly from ₦167.36 billion); Gross profit: ₦66.20 billion (up from ₦61.95 billion); Profit before tax: ₦34.48 billion (up from ₦26.46 billion); Basic and diluted earnings per share: ₦0.11 (up from ₦0.07)
Half-Year (January–June 2026 vs January–June 2025) Revenue: ₦342.07 billion (marginally higher than ₦340.99 billion); Gross profit: ₦141.29 billion (up from ₦121.58 billion); Profit before tax: ₦74.79 billion (up from ₦61.53 billion); Profit after tax: ₦38.31 billion (down from ₦41.29 billion, mainly due to higher tax charge); and Basic and diluted earnings per share: ₦0.23 (compared with ₦0.25)
The company recorded improved gross margins, supported by lower cost of sales relative to revenue. Administrative, marketing and distribution expenses rose, but operating performance strengthened. Net finance income contributed positively in the second quarter.
Statement of Financial Position as at 30 June 2026 put total assets at ₦792.65 billion (up from ₦739.74 billion); Total equity: ₦538.14 billion (up from ₦499.83 billion); Property, plant and equipment: ₦360.70 billion; and Cash and cash equivalents: ₦171.08 billion
