WorldStage Newsonline– FBN Holdings has announced the appointment of Mr Ebenezer Olufowose as non- executive director and chairman of its subsidiary, First Bank Nigeria Limited.
The appointment follows the completion of the tenure of Mr Tunde Hassan-Odukale after 12 years as a non- Executive director.
Olufowose who was said to have been appointed on 29 April is the Group Managing Director of First Ally Capital Limited.
FBN Holdings said Olufowose is with over 36 years of experience working in the financial services industry.
It said, “Before joining the First Bank board, he was Executive Director at Access Bank Plc and Citibank Nigeria, where he led Citigroup’s origination, structuring and execution of corporate finance and investment banking transactions in Nigeria.
“He started his banking career at the NAL Merchant Bank Plc (NAL) in 1985 and graduated with first-class honours in economics from the University of Lagos.”
Olufowose also holds a masters in Arts (M.A.) in International Economics from the University of Sussex, England, and is an Alumnus of Harvard Business School, and Lagos Business School.
