WorldStage Newsonline– eTranzact International Plc, Nigeria’s multi-application, multi-channel electronic transaction switching and payment processing platform has has announced that it will hold its 16th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Function Room, 4th Floor, Fortune Towers, 27/29, Adeyemo Alakija Street, Victoria Island, Lagos on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 12:00 noon.
According to a notification http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/31302_E-TRANZACT_INTERNATIONAL_PLC-_NOTICES_OF_ANNUAL_GENERA.pdf to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) the AGM will be to lay before the members the Audited Financial Statements of the Company for the year ended December 31, 2019 together with the Reports of the Directors, Auditors and Audit Committee thereon; To elect/re-elect Directors; To appoint the Auditors; To authorize the Directors to fix the remuneration of the Auditors; To elect Members of the Audit Committee.
The note confirmed that the Register of Members and Transfer Books of the Company will be closed from Monday, September 7 to Friday September 11, 2020 (both days inclusive) to enable the Registrars update the Register of Members.
“Pursuant to Section 259 (1) of the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2004, the Directors to retire by rotation are Mrs. Olayimika Phillips, Dr. Judedavid Mbamalu and Mr. Olayinka Oluwatimehin. They have indicated their willingness to stay in office and offer themselves for re-election,” it said.
The company earlier released its unaudited financial statements for 2nd Quarter ended 30th June 2020 with a loss of N118.250 million from N96.094 million profit in Q2 2019.
The loss is coming in spite of N5.769 billion revenue during the period from N6.458 billion in Q2 2019.
