WorldStage– Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai was on Wednesday apprehended by the Department of State Services (DSS) shortly after being released on bail by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
El-Rufai, who was granted bail around 8:00 p.m., was reportedly intercepted by DSS operatives waiting at the EFCC headquarters.
The DSS arrest is reportedly connected to allegations that El-Rufai unlawfully intercepted the phone communications of National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu.
Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the development.
