WorldStage– Consumer goods giant BUA Foods Plc has officially notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the investing public of a slight adjustment to its corporate calendar. The meeting of the Board of Directors, originally scheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2026, has been moved by one day and will now hold on Friday, October 30, 2026.
The high-level board session is convened primarily to review, consider, and approve the company’s 3rd Quarter 2026 Unaudited Financial Statements (Q3 2026 UFS) for the period ended September 30, 2026. Market participants and equity analysts are closely eyeing the upcoming release to gauge volume growth, margin discipline, and top-line performance across BUA Foods’ core segments—including sugar, flour, pasta, rice, and edible oils—following a strong showing in the first half of the fiscal year.
Investor Advisory: Closed Period Remains in Full Effect
In compliance with the post-listing rules of the Nigerian Exchange Limited and regulatory corporate governance standards, BUA Foods has reiterated that the Closed Period declared ahead of the financial disclosures remains active.
Trading Ban: All directors, persons discharging managerial responsibility, employees, insiders, and connected persons are strictly barred from directly or indirectly trading in the company’s shares.
Window Lifts: The restriction will remain enforced until 24 hours after the Q3 2026 financial statements are officially released to the public and filed with the NGX.
Market watchers anticipate that the financial performance report will be published immediately following the board’s approval on Friday, October 30, 2026, lifting the trading restriction and providing fresh valuation signals for institutional and retail portfolios.
