WorldStage– Berger Paints Nigeria Plc, a leading manufacturer and marketer of paints and coatings listed on the Nigerian Exchange has reported a solid half-year performance, with profit after tax increasing 26% to ₦789.1 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026, from ₦624.6 million in the corresponding period of 2025.
According to the unaudited consolidated financial statements approved by the Board on 28 July 2026 and filed with the Nigerian Exchange, Group revenue grew 13% to ₦6.97 billion, up from ₦6.16 billion in H1 2025.
The results signed by Abi Ayida (Chairman), Alaba Fagun (Director), and Adeleke Adeniyi (Chief Finance Officer) showed that gross profit rose 15% to ₦3.12 billion, while operating profit improved to ₦1.10 billion from ₦928.8 million. Profit before tax stood at ₦1.20 billion (H1 2025: ₦945.8 million).
Basic earnings per share increased to 272 kobo from 216 kobo. The company’s share price closed the period at ₦147.30, lifting market capitalisation to approximately ₦42.69 billion.
Balance Sheet
Total assets grew to ₦9.70 billion as at 30 June 2026, from ₦9.07 billion at the end of 2025. Total equity rose to ₦5.41 billion (from ₦5.29 billion), supported by retained earnings.
Cash and cash equivalents increased to ₦629 million, while inventories and trade receivables also rose, reflecting higher business activity.
Company Standalone
The Company recorded revenue of ₦6.93 billion and profit after tax of ₦798.9 million for the period.
Berger Paints Nigeria Plc continues to benefit from improved sales volumes and cost management in the industrial goods sector.
