Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has stated that no Nigerian leader in history has favoured or supported Northern Nigeria as much as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Making these remarks on May 1, 2026, while addressing presidential media aides and journalists, the Governor cited facts, data, and statistics to support his claim that the current administration has significantly benefited the North.
Governor Sani highlighted several critical areas where he believes the President has delivered more for the region than past leaders, citing infrastructure and transportation in particular.
He noted the approval of massive projects, including a ₦1.17 trillion light rail and road project for Kaduna State and the reconstruction of the Abuja/Kaduna/Zaria/Kano federal highway.
Sani also claimed that no previous president has supported sub-national agricultural transformation as extensively as Tinubu, facilitating a shift from subsistence farming to agribusiness through solar irrigation and mechanised tools.
In the area of security Security and stability, he credited federal efforts for a turnaround in security in Kaduna, stating that markets have reopened and farmers are returning to fields that were previously under siege by banditry.
The Governor further emphasized that the North enjoys unprecedented federal representation with 12 ministers and top security positions held by individuals from the region.
He lauded the signing of the North West Development Commission (NWDC) Bill as a decisive step for regional growth.
Governor Sani has consistently urged Northern elites to stop blaming the President for longstanding issues like poverty and illiteracy, which he argues are results of decades of past policy neglect rather than the current administration’s actions.
He maintains that President Tinubu has doggedly kept faith with his campaign promises to the North.
He also predicted that due to these achievements, President Tinubu would secure a landslide victory in Kaduna and across the North in the 2027 elections.
