WorldStage– Insider-linked investment firms Seven Degrees North Limited and Black Rising Limited have significantly expanded their equity holdings in Sterling Financial Holdings Company Plc, acquiring a total of 108.54 million ordinary shares in open-market transactions valued at ₦821.8 million.
According to share dealing notifications submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), the disclosures highlight continued equity accumulation by entities tied to key board executives of the financial services group.

Key Highlights of the Transactions:
Seven Degrees North Limited: An entity related to Mr. Yemi Odubiyi (Group Managing Director / CEO of Sterling Financial Holdings) purchased 46,263,410 ordinary shares at ₦7.60 per share. The total value of the transaction executed on September 15, 2026, stood at ₦351.60 million.
Black Rising Limited: An entity related to Mr. Abubakar Suleiman (Non-Executive Director) acquired 62,277,641 ordinary shares at ₦7.55 per share. The deal, executed on September 14, 2026, amounted to an aggregate value of ₦470.20 million.
Market Platform: Both transactions were carried out via the trading floor of the Nigerian Exchange in Lagos in compliance with NGX regulations on insider dealings.
The fresh equity purchases underscore sustained insider confidence from top leadership in Sterling Financial Holdings’ long-term expansion strategy and recapitalisation roadmap.
