WorldStage Newsonline— Boko Haram has released 105 out of 110 girls kidnapped from the Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi in Yobe on February 19.
Report has it that the remaining five died in the hands of their abductors.
The Federal Government confirmed the release in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu who gave the confirmation said that the girls were on their way home from the kidnappers’ den.
The girls were kidnapped by suspected Boko Haram terrorists after an invasion of the school due to the withdraw of security personnel around the Dapchi community.
The Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari and the security agencies had been criticised for the unfortunate incident after similar occurrence at Chibok during the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
