WorldStage Newsonline, Omatek Ventures Plc, a public quoted firm which assembles and sells computer equipment and accessories in Nigeria and offers an after-sales support service has notified the Nigerian Stock Exchange, shareholders and the investing public of the resignation of Senator Chief Kola Bajomo as its director, in its subsidiaries and related companies.
In a notification to the Nigerian Stock Exchange signed by Femi David Ikotun, Company Secretary, the company did not state why Senator Bajomo resigned from the board, but only thanked him for his services to the group.
Senator Bajomo, a politician who was elected a member of the Senate for the Ogun West constituency of Ogun State in April 2007. He is a fellow of the Association of Cost and Management Accountants (ACMA) and associate member of the Association of Chartered Stockbrokers (ACS). Before entering politics, he was managing director, Commercial Trust Bank; Executive Director, Union Bank; Executive Director, Savannah Bank, and Chairman of the Federal Housing Authority (2005–2006). He was at one time Chairman of Gateway Hotels. He also held the position of President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
