The Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Women Affairs, Mrs Seun Osamaye, says the state government will continue to rioritise the welfare of women in the state.
Osamaye said this on Saturday in Akure while addressing newsmen on the plans of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on women development in the state.
Osamaye, who said that the development of women would lead to building the nation, said no woman would be left behind in governance in the state.
She also highlighted the 10-point agenda of the government to include, empowerment of rural and elderly women, access to resources and support for market women, as well as skill-up initiative for women.
According to her, others include opportunities and inclusion for women with disabilities, government intervention for women in agriculture, TECH-A-Girl and PAD A Girl Child Initiative, Back 2 School Initiative for female adults.
She also mentioned capacity building for women in politics, mentorship programmes for female students and young women in politics as well as health-is-wealth scheme for women.
“We have a listening governor; he is ready to support the development of women anytime any day and has a plan to ensure that no women is left behind in governance,” she said.
The special adviser to the governor encouraged women to participate in politics and praised the governor’s commitment towards women empowerment.
Osamaye urged women to support the governor and utilise government services, highlighting improvements in healthcare.
