WorldStage– The Nigerian Senate has confirmed Gen. Christopher Musa (retd.) as the new Minister of Defence.
The confirmation took place on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, after a screening process by the lawmakers.
President Bola Tinubu had nominated the former Chief of Defence Staff for the position in a letter to the Senate a day earlier.
General Musa replaces Mohammed Badaru, who resigned on Monday, December 1, 2025, citing health reasons.
