WorldStage– Heirs Insurance Group, a Nigerian insurance company that provides life, health, and other insurance products to individuals and businesses launched its virtual assistant Prince on May 11, becoming the first in its industry to deploy artificial intelligence in improving access and insurance penetration in Nigeria.
Prince is a multi-lingual generative AI assistant providing responses to customers’ requests about Heirs insurance products; it also responds to all insurance enquiries, including coverage options, needs assessment, and policy options.
Prince speaks English, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, and more.
Beyond handling enquiries, it also enables customers to buy and renew policies, initiate and track claims.
“Prince AI represents the next phase of our digital evolution,” said Group Digital Officer Peace Okhianmhense-Philips,
“Embedding generative AI into our customer experience, we are not only improving speed and efficiency but also humanising insurance.”
According to him, the innovation allows the insurer to connect with customers, anticipate their needs, and deliver support that is instant, intelligent, and accessible.
Where it becomes necessary, the customer experience staff uses a hybrid of AI and humans.
Heirs Insurance’s representatives are on standby to provide expert advice and clarity.
The virtual assistant is available on WhatsApp, the SimpleLife Mobile App, and the Heirs Insurance website.
About 3 percent of Nigerians have exposure to insurance, a challenge the industry has yet confront.
