WorldStage Newsonline– Airtel Africa, a leading provider of telecommunications and mobile money services, with a presence in 14 countries in Africa, primarily in East Africa and Central and West Africa has announced that its Nigeria’s operation was working to comply with the latest directive for subscribers of all networks to provide their valid National Identification Numbers to update SIM registration records by 30 December 2020.
The directive was issued by the Nigerian Communications Commission on 15 December 2020 with subscribers at the risk being blocked by the networks if they fail to meet up.
Airtel Nigeria in a notification at the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Wednesday said “Further announcements will be made in due course as required.”
