WorldStage– Shareholders of University Press Plc have approved a dividend payout of 18 kobo per share for the financial year ended March 31, 2026.
The decision was reached during the company’s 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Kakanfo Inn & Conference Centre in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Key resolutions passed by members during the meeting include:
Financial Statements: Laying of the Audited Financial Statements for the year ended March 31, 2026, alongside reports from the Directors, Auditors, and Audit Committee.
Board Re-elections: Re-election of Arc. Ayodeji Olorunda, Mr. Yomi Adewusi, and HRM Josephine Diete-Spiff as Non-Executive Directors.
New Appointment Ratified: Formal ratification of Maj-Gen. Daniel Danjuma Kitchener (Rtd) as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective August 1, 2026.
Statutory Audit Committee: Election of shareholder representatives Mr. Ayuba Quadri Yemi, Mrs. Utere Inibong Obot, and Mr. Folowosele Micheal Oludare to the Statutory Audit Committee, where they will serve alongside Board representatives HRM Dr. Josephine A. Diete-Spiff and Prof. Tracie Chima Utoh-Ezeajugh.
Remuneration & Audit Fees: Directors were authorized to fix the Auditors’ remuneration in compliance with Section 408 of the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020, and the remuneration of Non-Executive Directors was approved.
