WorldStage— President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Paris, France, for Nigeria after concluding his working vacation and is expected to arrive in Lagos later today.

The President is heading to Lagos ahead of Nigeria’s Independence Day celebrations, where he will honour the memory of late Chief MKO Abiola, widely regarded as the winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election.
Tinubu is scheduled to attend the premiere of a movie celebrating Abiola at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre, Iganmu, on October 1.
During his stay in Lagos, the President is also expected to hold strategic meetings with political leaders and associates ahead of the 2027 general elections before returning to Abuja.
Tinubu departed Abuja on August 30 for his working vacation, spending one week in London before travelling to Paris.
In Paris, he held engagements with French President Emmanuel Macron and business leaders, including Bolloré Group Chairman Vincent Bolloré and First Holdings Chairman Femi Otedola.
The President also witnessed the signing of an MoU between the Ogun State Government and DP World for the development of a Gateway deep seaport in Ogun Waterside and a Blue Marine Economic Zone, with DP World planning a $7 billion investment in the project.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja after concluding his engagements in Lagos.
