The Organizers of the $1.5 Trillion Plus GDP Nigerian Blue Economy Conference – Opportunity for Nigeria’s Prosperity – Alfe City Institution announce that the conference will now take place from 30 June to 2 July, 2026 at the Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
This rescheduling following consultations with stakeholders and is necessitated by the unforeseen clash of the impending May primaries, which require the full presence of National Assembly Legislators in their constituencies. Given the critical importance of their participation, the new dates ensure the integrity of the conference and adequate representation of Nigeria’s legislative leadership.
The program will feature keynote addresses from two of Nigeria’s FOREMOST current leaders:
– Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, Honourable Minister for Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, delivering the Opening Keynote Address: “The $1.5 Trillion Plus GDP Opportunity: Nigeria’s Coastal Advantage.”
– Right Honourable Tajudeen Abbas, Speaker of the House of Representatives, delivering his Keynote Address: “Legislating the Blue Economy: Building the Legal Architecture for Prosperity.”
The conference will convene stakeholders from government, industry, academia, and civil society to chart a sustainable and inclusive roadmap for Nigeria’s Blue Economy. It will feature keynote speeches, expert panels, exhibitions, and strategic breakout sessions designed to foster actionable outcomes.
The Organizers said, “This adjustment ensures Nigeria’s Blue Economy agenda receives the full weight of legislative and economic leadership. By aligning with the schedules of our National Assembly and key ministries, we are safeguarding the integrity of the conference and maximizing its impact for Nigeria’s prosperity.”
