WorldStage— The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, has boasted that members, chieftains and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will campaign to deliver President Bola Tinubu in next year’s presidential election using incontrovertible facts.
Akume made the declaration during the inauguration and official unveiling of the Renewed Hope Project 2027 in Abuja.
Speaking as the Grand Patron of the re-election support group, Akume stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will rely on verifiable performance metrics rather than empty rhetoric to secure President Bola Tinubu’s second term in the 2027 presidential election.
He asserted that the Tinubu administration is boldly tackling Nigeria’s long-standing structural challenges from their roots, unlike previous governments, pointing to the administration’s execution of local government autonomy initiatives and sweeping digital reforms as key achievements that strengthen grassroots service delivery.
He emphasized that meaningful national development requires difficult, foundational decisions and sacrifices, which are now paving the way for economic stability.
During the event, APC stakeholders explicitly dismissed the rumored political alliances between opposition figures like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.
The Chairman of the group’s Board of Trustees, retired Major General Abdulmalik Jibril, characterized the opposition’s coalition efforts as an exercise in futility, maintaining that the administration’s tangible scorecard will dictate the 2027 outcome.
