WorldStage– The Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Ltd has adopted the Federal Government’s Performance Management System (PMS) to enhance accountability and improve public service delivery.
Mr Stephen Kwande, Head of Corporate Affairs at NIGCOMSAT, said the decision followed a three-day training jointly organised by the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation.
The training focused on FCSSI25 as a performance-driven Federal Civil/Public Service framework, service culture, workplace attitude, PMS implementation in NIGCOMSAT, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to boost performance.
According to the statement, the programme is designed to strengthen accountability, instil a strong work ethic, and foster a service-oriented culture in the Nigerian public sector.
Mrs Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, NIGCOMSAT Managing Director, was represented by Executive Director Abiodun Attah.
“The adoption of PMS is long overdue and critical to aligning our operations with national performance goals,” she said.
Mrs Chinwe Udogu, General Manager, Human Resources, urged staff to fully engage in the training, adding: “This exercise is pivotal in repositioning NIGCOMSAT to achieve its highest aspirations”.
The Training Consultant, Mrs Chioma Njoku, said the programme will drive culture change, automate work processes, and strengthen institutional performance.
“PMS adoption is a major step toward accountability and efficiency,” she said.
