WorldStage– Nigeria’s university admission body, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), on Thursday, April 9, 2026 directed all candidates for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to begin printing their examination notification slips as of April 9, 2026.
The main examination is scheduled to commence on Thursday, April 16, 2026, and will run through Saturday, April 25, 2026.
The board disclosed this in a statement signed by its Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, on Thursday in Abuja.
Benjamin said the examination would commence on April 16, urging candidates to print their slips to confirm their examination date, venue and time.
He advised candidates to visit the board’s website and click on “2026 UTME Slip Printing” to access and print their notification slip.
He further guided candidates in printing the slip as follows: “You can access your slip through the official JAMB portal by following these steps:
Visit the JAMB website and look for the “2026 UTME Slip Printing” link.
“Alternatively, go directly to the slip reprinting portal.
Enter your UTME Registration Number, email, or the phone number used during registration.
Click on “Print Examination Slip” to view and download your details.
According to him, candidates are encouraged to print the slips early and familiarize themselves with their examination centers ahead of the examination date to avoid inconvenience.
The notification slip contains candidate’s specific examination date, venue (CBT centre), and time.
JAMB has also introduced enhanced security for the 2026 exercise to curb malpractice, with Biometric verification (thumb-printing) remaining mandatory at the exam centre.
Candidates are advised to arrive at their designated centres well ahead of their scheduled time for proper screening and accreditation.
