Geregu Power reports recent developments in board/management with NGX on old letterhead with old directors

WorldStage– Even though, Geregu Power Plc  effected ownership change on 29 December 2025, with the previous board resigning and a new board appointed, the letterhead with which the company is still filing information with the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) is the old one that had Femi Otedola CON as the (chairman) and Akin Akinfemiwa as the Chief Executive Officer.

Following Femi Otedola’s exit, the previous board resigned and a new one with Senator Abdul-Aziz Abubakar Yari, former Governor of Zamfara State as Chairman appointed. Their appointments were ratified by shareholders at the 14th Annual General Meeting held on 30 June 2026.

However, the notice signed and filed at the Nigerian Exchange Limited  by Gbeminiyi Shoda of StructureHQ Limited, the Company Secretary, on August 17 2026 announcing the appointment of Engr. Mohammed Sani Jaoji as Acting Chief Executive Officer of the company was done on an old letterhead with old directors which could mislead the investing public.

The directors listed in the letterhead include Femi Otedola CON (chairman), Akin Akinfemiwa Chief Executive Officer; Dr Julius B. Omodayo-Owotuga, Deputy Chief Executive ; Non Executive Directors- Christopher Adeyemi, Olawnumi Otedola; Independent Non Executive Directors- Andrew Gamble, Anil Dua, Doron Grupper, Paul Gbededo, Olukunle Oyewole.

Meanwhile, the current directors of Geregu Power Plc elected/ratified at the June 2026 AGM following Femi Otedola’s exit are as follow;
