WorldStage– The Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN) has said it will drag the Dangote Group to court over what it claims as the latter’s allegation of petroleum products diversion.
DAPPMAN stated it’s only the retraction of the allegation that can stop it from going ahead with the threatened litigation.
The rift between DAPPMAN and the Dangote Group has recently escalated sharply following accusation and recrimination over perceived shady dealings in the petroleum marketing sector between the two major groups.
The development comes at a time the Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector is gripped by tension over pricing, supply, and competition.
The legal threat marks a new chapter in the interactions between these powerful entities, highlighting how serious the claims are perceived.
The situation, WorldStage gathered, unfolds amidst an atmosphere of heightened tension within Nigeria’s downstream petroleum industry, which is currently plagued by challenges related to pricing, the availability of products, and fierce competition among key players, all contributing to a volatile market environment.
