WorldStage Newsonline– Airtel SmartCash Payment Service Bank (PSB) has introduced a seamless cashflow system to make Easter celebration more enjoyable for its subscribers.
Airtel in a statement by Mr Tunde Kuponiyi, Chief Executive Officer of SmartCash PSB, said the system would make it easier for customers to upgrade their wallets from tier one to tier three, ensuring a smooth, cashless, and stress-free holiday experience.
He added that the Smartcash app now enabled instant verification with customers’ NIN or BVN, secure facial recognition with a selfie, and simplified address confirmation.
Kuponiyi said upgrading to tier three provided higher transaction limits, access to more features and benefits, and enhanced security.
“As the Easter season approaches, we recognise the financial pressure and logistical challenges that often come with holiday spending and mobility.
“Our goal is to eliminate the stress of cash handling, long queues, and bank branch visits, so that Nigerians can focus on the spirit of the season, connections, community and celebration,” he said.
Kuponiyi noted that the PSB offered a reliable, cashless alternative that met the financial needs of users wherever they were.
He added that the service allowed users to send money, pay merchants, and top up airtime and data, ensuring uninterrupted and efficient services throughout the holiday season.
“As a mobile money operator, Airtel Smartcash PSB has rapidly expanded its network of agents and digital wallet users, bridging access between underserved communities and the financial system.
“With services available through mobile phones and human agents across Nigeria, Smartcash provides a simple and accessible entry point into the digital economy,” Kuponiyi said.
