The stage is set for the launch of a new support movement for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, with notable celebrities from across Nigeria’s creative and entertainment sectors playing major roles.
The movement is scheduled for unveiling on July 24, 2025, in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Youth Development.
The official launch of ‘Relax! Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria’ (RTIFN) campaign will be headlined by top Nigerian celebrities, including Yul Edochie, Zack Orji, Benedict Johnson, Labista, Zulezoo, and Gentle Jack. Others are Konga (musician), Saheed Balogun, Lege Miami and Rarara.
As prelude to its launch, the movement organized a Roadshow Awareness Walk in the Federal Capital Territory on June 30, which attracted a large crowd of enthusiastic Nigerians and progressives from across the country. This will be followed on July 22, 2025 by a town hall meeting with the youth and women and a musical concert on July 26, 2025, both in Abuja.
The movement will be driven by four cardinal themes: ‘We Say No To Violence’, ‘We Stand By His Mandate To Drive Nigeria Forward’, ‘Together, We Build The Nation Of Our Dream’, and ‘No Pain, No Gain! We Have To Go Through This And Support Mr. President In His Great Works To Move Nigeria To Greater Heights’.
Leader of RTIFN, Hon Ahmed Bala, said besides unveiling its mission, the launch will provide a veritable platform to highlight the numerous achievements of President Tinubu in the last two years, including the unveiling of a compendium of 223 accomplishments.
He said the campaign is particularly essential in order to provide Nigerians with accurate information on the accomplishments of the administration as against the misinformation and half-truths being peddled by the opposition and hired goons.
Bala commended the Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodede Olawande, for his uncommon commitment to attaining the objectives of the group, as well as the Special Assistant to the President on Youth Engagement, Hon Sunday Adedayo.
This is coming against the backdrop of a report by the presidency outlining the huge giant strides made by the administration in the North Central geopolitical zone.
According to the Office of Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Community Engagement, North Central, President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda has impacted positively on key aspects of the region, including critical infrastructure projects, student loans, renewed hope cities, the North Central Development Commission, agro-processing zones, and farmer support programmes.
“The North Central region is witnessing tangible development under the Renewed Hope Agenda. We are seeing real results! The Renewed Hope is here”, said Dr. (Mrs.) Abiodun Essiet, SSA to the President on Community Engagement, North Central, said in a statement.
Similar markers have also been recorded in the South East region where claims of marginalization are rampant. The establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) by the administration, which had remained elusive since the end of the civil war in 1970, represents a milestone of immense proportion, in addition to the establishment of several tertiary institutions in the zone.
