WorldStage– Zenith Bank Plc has announced a delay in the release of its audited financial statements for the half-year ended June 30, 2026, pending approval from its primary regulator.
In an official corporate disclosure dated August 18, 2026, signed by Company Secretary Michael Osilama Otu, the bank informed the investing public that its Board of Directors approved the H1 2026 financial report on July 29, 2026. However, standard regulatory protocols require final authorization from the primary banking regulator before public release.
To remain compliant with listing rules, Zenith Bank requested and received a six-week filing extension from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) beyond the initial regulatory deadline of August 29, 2026.
Key Details:
Original Filing Deadline: August 29, 2026
Extended Deadline: On or before October 9, 2026
Board Approval Date: July 29, 2026
The bank expressed optimism that regulatory clearance will be finalized soon, allowing the audited results to be published well before the approved October 9 extension deadline.
