WorldStage– Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Primate Elijah Ayodele has said that the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) or not would not guarantee voting for Tinubu by the Igbos in 2027.
He made the declaration this on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the INRI church while speaking on national issues.
He said despite that Tinubu was not responsible for the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu the Igbo will still blame him.
Ayodele prayed that the present Government could use its good offices to release him.
He advised Tinubu not to put his eggs in only one basket but also look in the direction of North, South South and South West.
He said, “Tinubu is not the cause of Nnamdi Kanu’s detention, but the Igbos are going to be blaming Tinubu for keeping Nnamdi Kanu.
“Why can’t they follow the due process on this Nnamdi Kanu not being released? The person that supposed to do it did not do it, but I pray this government will use its good offices to save the situation.
“However, whether you release Nnamdi Kanu or not, the Igbos will refuse to vote for Tinubu, except few Igbos who will vote for Tinubu.
“Tinubu should not put all his eggs in one basket, he should face West and the North, and then South South,” he said.
