The wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun, Dr Sekinah Oyebamiji, has expressed confidence in her husband’s victory in the ongoing governorship election in the state.
Oyebamiji spoke shortly after casting her ballot at Ward 9, Unit 003, AUD Primary School, Ikire, in Irewole Local Government Area, while participating in the exercise earlier on Saturday morning.
She commended the conduct of the election, describing the voter turnout as impressive and expressing optimism that her husband would emerge victorious at the end of voting in the state.
Oyebamiji said the electoral process had so far been peaceful and orderly, while commending officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for their professional conduct throughout the voting exercise so far.
“The voters’ turnout is quite impressive. The INEC officials are conducting themselves professionally. There are police officers around.” she said, adding that the presence of police officers helped maintain order during voting.
“I think the process is good so far. The expectation is that Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji will carry the day,” she said, expressing confidence in the candidate’s prospects at the polls.
