WorldStage Newsonline– Youths of Obolo ethnic nationality of Akwa Ibom State have called on the federal government to arrest the alleged sponsors of the recent bloody communal clash in the state.
Ekid people in Eket and Esit Eket local government areas had last week clashed with Ibeno Local Government Area over ownership of the oil-rich Stubbs Creek Forest Reserves, otherwise known as Akoiyak.
The bloody conflict had led to loss of lives and destruction of property, a situation which caused the state government to take control over the land to avoid further bloodshed.
But Obolo youth groups comprising of Obolo Youth Coalition Worldwide (OYC), Oro Youth Movement, (OYOM) Ijaw Youth Counci had moved against any settlement that might compromise their interest.
