WorldStage– MTN Nigeria Communications PLC has officially notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the investing public of the upcoming exit of Independent Non-Executive Director, Mrs. Eyitope Kola-Oyeneyin, from its Board of Directors.
According to a corporate announcement issued on August 28, 2026, and signed by Company Secretary Uto Ukpanah, Mrs. Kola-Oyeneyin will step down from her board role effective August 31, 2026.
“The Board extends its appreciation to Mrs. Kola-Oyeneyin for her invaluable service and wishes her the best in her future endeavours,” the company stated in the notice.
Mrs. Kola-Oyeneyin (nee St Matthew-Daniel) served as a key independent voice on the board of the telecommunications giant, which connects over 92 million subscribers across Nigeria and operates as part of the broader MTN Group.
The company did not immediately name a successor to fill the vacant independent non-executive position.
