WorldStage Newsoline– Seplat Energy, Nigeria’s leading indigenous energy company has confirmed that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has terminated the court proceedings it brought against Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU) and its affiliates over the proposed divestment of MPNU’s shares to Seplat Energy Offshore Limited (SEOL).
Seplat in a notice signed by Mr. Roger Brown, its Chief Executive Office at the Nigerian Exchange said it was informed 30 May 2024 about the Settlement Agreement between NNPCL, ExxonMobil Corporation, Delaware and MPNU.
Seplat Energy commended the open cooperation and progress achieved by all stakeholders and said it will diligently engage all key stakeholders, including the government, in progressing towards a swift completion of the acquisition of MPNU.
