The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has called on the Federal Government to dualise the Idiroko Road to reduce accidents in the area.
Idiroko Unit Commander of FRSC, Mr Olugbenga Farinloye who gave the advice in an interview in Ota, Ogun said that the appeal became necessary due the nature of the road as an international route and because many lives and property had been lost on the route.
“There is the need for government to dualise the road because of the recklessness of motorists and the ghastly nature of accidents that happen on it,’’ the FRSC boss added.
He, however, implored motorists on the road to show some decorum by avoiding reckless driving.
