WorldStage– Telecom and mobile money services provider Airtel Africa plc has officially updated the market regarding its total share capital and voting rights. The disclosure was made in compliance with Rule 5.6.1R of the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
As of the close of business on September 30, 2026, the company’s issued share capital comprised 3,630,365,966 ordinary shares, each with a nominal value of USD 0.50. This total includes 6,136,678 ordinary shares held in treasury. Under standard corporate guidelines, shares held in treasury do not carry voting rights.
Consequently, the total number of voting rights in Airtel Africa stands at 3,624,229,288.
Shareholders can use this figure as the denominator to determine if they need to notify the company of a new interest, or a change to an existing interest, under the FCA’s Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
