WorldStage– Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO) has released its audited financial results for the half-year ended June 30, 2026, reporting a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of N603.03 billion, representing a slight increase from the N600.90 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.

Gross Earnings: Rose to N1.11 trillion, up from N1.07 trillion in H1 2025.
Profit Before Tax: Increased to N603.03 billion compared to N600.90 billion in the previous period.
Profit After Tax: Stood at N414.19 billion, compared to N449.01 billion recorded in H1 2025, influenced by higher income tax expenses of N188.85 billion.
Basic & Diluted Earnings Per Share (EPS): Recorded at N11.18 per share.
Interim Dividend Declaration
In line with its tradition of delivering value to shareholders, the Board of Directors proposed an interim dividend of N1.00 per ordinary share on the issued capital. The dividend will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the register of members at the closure date, subject to applicable withholding tax deductions.

During the period under review, the Group sustained its commitment to corporate governance and workplace inclusion:
Workforce & Governance: The Group’s total workforce stood at 6,165 employees, maintaining an equal 50% male and 50% female gender representation across its global operations.
Corporate Social Responsibility: GTCO contributed N320.28 million toward charitable causes and community support initiatives during the six-month period.

GTCO Declares ₦1.00 Interim Dividend for H1 2026, Sets October Qualification Date
LAGOS, NIGERIA — Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO) has announced an interim dividend of ₦1.00 per ordinary share of 50 kobo each for the half-year period ended June 30, 2026.
According to a corporate announcement issued by the financial holding group, the interim distribution is subject to appropriate withholding tax deductions. No bonus shares were proposed alongside the payout.
Key Dividend Timelines & Qualifications
Qualification Date: Shareholders listed in the Register of Members as of the close of business on October 12, 2026, will be eligible to receive the dividend payout.
Closure of Register: The company’s Register of Members will be closed on October 13, 2026, to allow registrars to update shareholder records.
Payment Date (NGX Shareholders): Dividends will be paid electronically on October 20, 2026, directly into the bank accounts of shareholders trading on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) who have completed their e-dividend registration.
Payment Date (LSE Shareholders): Holders of Depositary Interests on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) will receive payments in US Dollars. Payments are scheduled for November 3, 2026 (foreign holders), and on or before November 6, 2026 (local holders). The exchange rate will be determined and communicated on October 23, 2026.

GTCO urged shareholders who have not yet completed their e-dividend mandate to download the form from its website or through its registrar, Datamax Registrars Limited. Completed forms should be submitted to the registrar or any GTCO branch to ensure direct payment.
