WorldStage Newsonline– Chams Plc has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the investing public that its Board hadapproved the appointment Dr. Mohammed Santuraki as a Non-Executive Director effective 1st January, 2022.
According to a notice at the NGX signed by Yetunde Emmanuel Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, the appointment followed the retirement of Dr. Evans Woherem, a non-executive Director of the Company effective 1st January, 2022.
“The Board remains grateful to Dr. Woherem for his services and dedication to the Company for the entirety of his tenure,” the notice said.
PROFILE OF DR. MOHAMMED SANTURAKI
Dr. Mohammed Santuraki is a former Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Agriculture Limited, and that of FBN Mortgages Limited. He is the immediate past Pro-Chancellor & Chairman of Governing Council of IBB University Lapai, the Niger State University, a past Chairman, Association of Nigerian Development Finance Institutions; and former National Vice President of Mortgage Bankers Association of Nigeria (MBAN).
He held senior executive positions at First Bank of Nigeria, Guaranty Trust Bank, and The British Council in Nigeria.
He has a DVM from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and an MBA from University of Ibadan. He has attended various top executive and leadership programs in Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, MIT Sloan Executive Education, Said Business School (University of Oxford), Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Kellogg Executive Programs’ (Northwestern University), IMD Lausanne, Switzerland, Stanford Graduate School of Business and Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania, United States. He is also an Oxford Business Alumni, and an alumnus of Lagos Business School.
He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Corporate Governance & Business Ethics at University of Abuja Business School.
