The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, on Wednesday, arrived Akure to conclude the alignment of the Lagos/ Calabar Coastal Road portion in the state.
Umahi, who spoke briefly with newsmen after arriving at the Akure Airport at 6:09p.m., said “We want to conclude the alignment so that we can procure it and start work.”
The minister said that the Federal Government has a lot of projects in Ondo State – road infrastructure and bridges.
“ And we also have Lagos/ Calabar Coastal Highway, the axis that is passing through Ondo State, from Ogun to Ondo State,” he said
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 1068km super coastal highway from Lagos to Calabar was envisioned about 25 years ago by President Bola Tinubu while he was the governor of Lagos State.
