WorldStage– Senator Okey Ezea, who represented the Enugu North Senatorial District in the Nigerian National Assembly has died.
He was said to have passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, while receiving medical treatment in the United Kingdom.
The Labour Party lawmaker, popularly known as “Ideke,” had reportedly been receiving treatment in the UK after an earlier round of treatment in Germany and had recently recovered from a partial stroke.
He passed away after a surgical amputation of his leg.
Senators and other political figures have expressed shock and offered condolences to his family and constituents.
The Senate is expected to formally address his death at a plenary session, a customary legislative tradition.
